The launch of Kunars Merch, featuring our beloved Nurse Even, brought a touch of lighthearted fun and a tangible symbol of our shared identity. Each piece became a badge of honor, a way to proudly represent not only our profession but the unique spirit of our community. And our regular Quiz Nights? They were more than just friendly competitions; they were opportunities to unwind, share a laugh, and feel the comforting embrace of community after a long shift. The excitement of the raffles and prizes added a spark of joy, but the true prize was the camaraderie we shared.
Beyond our own gatherings, we were deeply honored to stand alongside other Filipino organizations in the UK. Under the steadfast guidance and support of Manong George and the team, we joined forces with organizations like Filipinos in Care UK for their momentous grand launch, added our voices to the important work of Tinig, and celebrated the festive season at Thrive’s heartwarming Gala Night Christmas Market, among other important engagements. These collaborations were a testament to our commitment to supporting the broader Filipino community, amplifying our collective voice, and strengthening our presence in the UK. We celebrated each other's triumphs, big and small, from graduations and promotions to personal milestones, offering unwavering support and encouragement along the way. We witnessed countless acts of kindness, embodying the true spirit of bayanihan – a spirit that flows through the very heart of our community.
As we turn the page to 2025, our hearts are filled with anticipation for the new adventures that await. We are planning exciting upcoming events. Imagine an evening filled with laughter as we enjoy a stand-up comedy performance by the one and only Nurse Even! We are also planning another unforgettable Summer event, a time to reconnect under the warm sun, share cherished moments through varied engaging and exciting games and fun activities, and create new memories.
